Ecommerce Platform (WebCart) Updates \"Express Checkout\" in its Shopping Cart Software
Los Angeles based ecommerce developer, www.WebCart.net announces an updated explanation of its Express Checkout feature. When we first considered individual criteria for shopping cart software checkout processes, one of the issues we were investigating was whether to require customers to register with the site or be able to checkout as if they were a one time user. With a forced registration process, we had to allow a customer to store their billing information in a secure online account, and to access this information for future purchases from any computer without having to re-type it every time they shop from our site.
From a customer loyalty perspective, customers on a WebCart powered ecommerce site could simply login to their Customer Account with a unique password and their payment information would already be pre-filled and ready to go to complete their order. Since some customers do not want to be in a \"forced\" type of situation, store owners can turn the feature on or off so customers do not have to save any of the information in a customer account. This gives each customer absolute control and flexibility to buy online the way they want to buy.
We\'ve also included a "forgot password" option which triggers a script to send the password to the email address on file. For security purposes this ensures that only the owner of the customer\'s email address can access the password to login to the Customer account.
\"Because of security concerns, WebCart departed from some of its competitors by not storing credit card information in customer accounts\", says Michael Moshkovich, WebCart\'s SEO Services Consultant. The credit card account number, expiration date and CVVS number must be retyped each time a purchase is made. The advantage is heightened security. Purchasers online do not seem to mind this as they prefer more security versus risking the theft of their credit card details.
\"Here are two ways we envision online customers using the speedy Checkout feature of the WebCart shopping cart software\" says Lev Kacnelson, a lead developer. Customers can add each item to their cart until they are ready to checkout and then click the Checkout button. As well, they can just go to a product page and click the Buy it now link which will automatically add the item to their cart and take them to the checkout page where they can login and continue to checkout very quickly. The final page in either method is a confirmation to review or edit your order. To place the order, they simply click the Place Your Order button. At this point, they have completed an online purchase.
